Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.
    -Psalm 55:22 NIV

Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.
-Psalm 55:22 NIV
Even though you may have been taught as a child that God is good and God is love, you may have a hard time grasping the truth of this when it comes to yourself personally.

If your view of God is condemning one (or even partially this way), I recommend that you immerse yourself in everything the Scriptures say about love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness of God. Spend as long as it takes dwelling on these Scriptures until you recognize that you are God's beloved daughter and there is nothing you could do that could make him love you any more than he does right now. There is nothing you could do that would cause him to love you any less.

Once you have given yourself this triage of hope- soaking up the truth of God's love and revising your view of God- you will be well on your way to trusting him. You cannot possibly fall into the arms of a God you don't trust. If you hesitate to fall into the arms of God, there's a good chance you don't yet know the depth, the height, or the breadth of his deep, deep love for you. Fall in love with the one who waits to catch you up in strong, gentle arms.
